Crossing the Brooklyn Bridge towards Manhattan on a windy winter snow day
Contemporary Photographic Art and Travel Photography. I'm the Head Pixie and Pixel Pusher at Pixielated Pixels, British born and bred but New York City-based. I first picked up a camera over 50 years ago. After all these years I am finally happy, creating the images I always dreamed of. Shooting film and printing in the darkroom never gave me as much pleasure as powerful computers and Adobe's wonderful software does today. I began working with computers in the mid-1980s, and now I have become confident and competent with the tools at hand and feel that the world has finally caught up with my eclectic artistic vision. Intense and powerful colors and a somewhat surreal take on reality are the way my mind works and I enjoy producing images...

Saw this beauty on FB and had to stop by and visit here as well. Chris ... Oh Ye Photographer-Lauret of NYC ... you have done it again. If you can make B&W SO appealing to someone like myself, you, sir, have done your job!!! This is an incredible work of perspective and tone ... and fascination with the subject!!! Love, love and love!!! l/f and tweeted
Chris Lord replied:
I got up early the day after we were promised a huge snowstorm and went downtown hoping to find deep snow but there was none. It had all gone already. But I had fun shooting anyway and got some great shots to work on. You are right, the bridge is awesome and always a super subject no matter how many times I go down there.. Very happy to hear that you liked this one enough to follow it here Lois, you are very kind. Thank you so much, cheers

Chris Lord replied:
This was the morning after Juno was supposed to bury us in snow. I got up early and went off to the bridge to shoot it deep in snow. Well there wasn't much snow at all but I managed to make a shot worth posting anyway and I got some exercise! A good day I guess. Thanks very much for checking it out, cheers
