Description
A nighttime photograph of San Michele in Foro, a Roman Catholic basilica church in Lucca, Tuscany. It was built over the ancient Roman forum. The San Michele in Foro Church is situated at the Piazza San Michele in this medieval walled city. Until 1370 it was the seat of the Consiglio Maggiore (Major Council), the commune's most important assembly. Each of the many pillars built into the facade has a different design.
