Contemporary Photographic Art and Travel Photography. I'm the Head Pixie and Pixel Pusher at Pixielated Pixels, British born and bred but New York City-based. I first picked up a camera over 50 years ago. After all these years I am finally happy, creating the images I always dreamed of. Shooting film and printing in the darkroom never gave me as much pleasure as powerful computers and Adobe's wonderful software does today. I began working with computers in the mid-1980s, and now I have become confident and competent with the tools at hand and feel that the world has finally caught up with my eclectic artistic vision. Intense and powerful colors and a somewhat surreal take on reality are the way my mind works and I enjoy producing images...

What a magnificent composition ... this is an incredible find ... the lines and angles, your post work, the tones and colors ... all awesome ... but that EYE!!!! SO COOL!!!!!!!!! I love this!!!
Chris Lord replied:
Got this walking back home from a 150 person meetup of photographers on FLICKR. It's actually just around the corner from where I live and that Highline Park is a great place to stroll, people watch and find odd little photos. That eye is all by it's self on a huge black billboard and I have no idea what it's trying to sell! Thanks so much for another great comment Lois, I'm encouraged that you like this rather experimental piece, cheers.

Chris Lord replied:
And just a block from my building! I agree that the Highline is just the coolest new thing in the city. Thanks very much for the nice comment, cheers.

Great capture Chris!! Love the inclusion of the eye!!
Chris Lord replied:
There was a huge NYC Flickr Meetup with about 150 photogs yesterday up on the Highline and I shot this just after on my way back home. I live just 1 1/2 blocks from here which was real handy for the meetup, some folks came all the way from Rhode Island! Glad you liked this one Robin-Lee, thanks so much. Cheers.

Just gorgeous Chris - wonderful colors here. And that eye....wow.
Chris Lord replied:
This is New York's newest park built on top of the old elevated railway tracks which are still there with grasses and flowers in between. It's all landscaped and very trendy and runs about a mile I guess. Here I'm on 10th Avenue just below it. That eye is on a huge billboard. Thanks so much for checking it out and leaving that lovely comment, cheers.
